The Gonz is here on 93-5 The Quake!

Jeff Gonzer is one of the originals when talking about Rock Radio in Southern California.  His career began at the first FM “underground” station KPPC broadcasting from the basement of a Pasadena church.  From there Jeff had his first go round at KMET.  Left, went to KLOS for 4 years and finally returned to legendary KMET for a 10 year run waking Southern California up each morning on the Mighty Met.  If you have any memory left from the 80’s, you’ll remember his show with newsman Ace Young and the insanity of their monthly gatherings named “Finally a Friday’s”.  Thousands of crazed rockers partying at 6am!  You were there, admit it!

Jeff joined the Quake about 8 years ago (nobody around here is quite sure, either is Jeff).  He presides over the Middays from 10a-3p Monday-Friday and Saturday afternoons from 3p-7p.

Gonzer’s Grill is open for lunch noontime at the Quake.  The menu is on the website, 935thequake.com, and you can place your orders there or phone them in any time at 661.274.2-935.  At 1pm every afternoon it’s “The Live One @ 1”.   Jeff delves into the Quake archives and plays you a great live classic track.

Jeff says, “The Quake has been my radio home for a long time now.  We have a great team. The music is spot on and we all have a lot of fun.”  “93-5 The Quake Rocks the A-V!”
